WOW!!! What an awesome weekend again, my second year riding and being involved with thisorganization is beyond words!!!! The weather, the trails and the weekend was perfect.The people that I have met over the last two years with being involved with the snow run are etched in my heart forever!!!! A huge thank you to everyone involved to make this event happen for the last 11 years!! And last but not least...for me to have received the Kim "Sparks" Fish Memorial Award this year is a totally overwhelming experience, and I will cherish it forever!!!!!!!! See everyone at next year's run!!!!!

Having missed the 10th Anniversary, it was sooo exciting to be back for this year. The only words I can think of to sum up the weekend is "WOW"... Awesome job to everyone involved ! We couldn't have asked for nicer weather or nicer trails. I think the best we have riden on in 10 years !! From the committee members, grounds crew, behind the scenes, to the Hidden Valley Resort and staff - the list goes on and on. Amazing job. To Suzy and Barb - I love you both for all that you do. To Diane, Maria and Trina - WAY TO GO LADIES... Outstanding job on those donations. You give me the drive to push that much harder for next year. To all of our sponsors, THANK YOU as well. Together we can make a difference. Here's to next year !!!

Hi All - This will be the first year since 2002 that I am missing the Snow Run. I will be thinking of all the courageous souls, survivors, and life-loving girls that come out to ride for the cause. It is an amazing time for an amazing cause. I have asked a few of my fellow hooter haulers to send pictures thoughout the day, as I will (hopefully) be home with my newborn son. I am sure we will feel the life force down in Rochester, NY that day, having experienced the energy of the day, I know there is an abundance. An evening with Liz & Terra Carlisle at their second annual Dinner/Dance went extremely well. An excellent Silent Auction was well received and the Band was great. Thanks to Liz & Terra and their helpers for a geat evening on Saturday Oct. 24.

Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we wanted to do something in our office (Mink Insurance Services) as a fundraiser, and make a donation towards an organization that provides research, awareness or aid to those with Breast Cancer. We felt donating to the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Snow Run For Fun, was a great way to do this. Our office is small, but we held a 'Casual Dress In Pink Day' and passed around the hat. We collected $140. from co-workers, and Mink Insurance matched the $140. and Dave Mink also personally donated an additional $140.00. ALTHOUGH WE ARE A SMALL OFFICE, WE'RE HAPPY TO BE SENDING OUR $420.00 DONATION. WE HOPE OTHER OFFICES/BUSINESSES WOULD TAKE UP THE CHALLENGE TO DO THE SAME. Good luck for the Ontaio Snow Run in Huntsville in February 2010.

First year attending and can not wait!!

Spent Sunday September 6th with Pam (deBoer) and Chris Evanshen at Jakestock in beautiful Gilford by the Bay! The weather co-operated wonderfully and a great crowd enjoyed the Music, the Weather, the Water, the Bar-B-Que and each other. The Volunteers were great as usual and Pam & Chris put on a great show. Donations, a Silent Auction, Draws raised a large amount of Money for the Snow Run. Thanks to everybody, Bob & Terry

Hi!!! I hope everyone is having a great(cool?)summer. It's time to start thinking Snow Run. I will be having my garage sale again on September 25th and 26th at the Metro store at the Iona Plaza at 1585 Mississauga Valley Blvd. Anyone cleaning out closets or downsizing can unload items at the store from now till then. I had great results last year and am looking forward to another success( all for this great cause).Anyone having spare time and would like to help can call me at 905-847-2504. The 10th Annual Snow Run was AWESOME!!!!! This was my first year participating in this event and I had such an amazing time I'm already fundraising for next year. Our Dream Team #1 was a fantastic bunch of women and I am blessed to have met everyone on this spectacular weekend. Oh, sorry Don I forgot to mention you as part of our team as well. Thanks for helping me tip my sled back over! See you all in next years run!!!

WOW!!!!!!! What an awesome accomplishment!!!!! Everyone who contributed(physically or financially) should give themselves a pat on the back. So many women(and men) that we can help with all those $$$$$. I'm sure Kelly and Kim would be so proud of all those involved. This was my 7th ride and I feel honoured to be a small part of this great organization. It is amazing the responce we have had in all ways; and I am so proud to be a part of it and would not miss it for the world. Suzy and Barb and all those who have worked hard all year to make this a success: you are all special people. $400.000. is alot of $$$$$ but $500,000(that's 1/2 a million) would be a good number for all to work for next year. Hello everyone!! I am so thrilled and excited to be involved in my first Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Snow Fun Run at Deerhurst. Yep, I'm a newbie!! I can't wait to ride alongside Kim and another newbie Christine in what I already know is going to be an unforgettable experience in my life. I decided to do something different in raising extra donations. I recently took a stained glass course and presently am working on small, medium and large stained glass suncatcher "pink ribbons". Hey, really good site and best of luck! I received a children's book in the mail that helps children come to terms with a parents cancer. It's aimed at younger children and is both thoughtful , warm-hearted and even get’s the kids to help out more around the house. The author Linda McCowan is also the illustrator and you can buy her book "Cancer Rhymes with Dancer" by going to her website at http://www.cancerrhymeswithdancer.com. My kids read it and loved the illustrations, several which are shared on that author’s site. Mel Wilson
